QPR Data Privacy Policy
What information do we collect?
You will be asked to provide your name and email address. This information is required in order to receive
your login details and certificate of completion.
We also collect information on age, gender, Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander status, postcode where you live,
postcode where you work or study, the name of your organisation, your occupation and your highest level of education.
You DO NOT have to provide this information if you do not wish to.
Additionally, before and after the training, you will be asked a series of questions about your knowledge of suicide
and what you would do if you thought someone might be experiencing thoughts of suicide.
Who has access to the data?
The data is accessible to the QPR Institute and the Black Dog Institute.
Where Black Dog has made arrangements with a Primary Health Network (PHN) or other
organisation to provide QPR training, that data may also be available to those third parties. In such
cases, PHNs will only receive data pertaining to their own region, and organisations will only receive
data pertaining to their own employees.
What will you do with the data?
No data collected will be used for research or marketing purposes. PHNs or organisations may use
the data to send occasional reminders to complete training or to report on the number of completed
trainings in their region.
The Black Dog Institute may report on aggregate, non-identifying data and the number of people who have completed training
and their region. No other information will be reported.
Where is the information stored?
The data collected is stored, in accordance with the Australian Privacy Principles contained in the
Privacy Act 1988, at the QPR Institute located in the United States on behalf of the Black Dog
Institute.
